An interesting site I heard about this morning is www.offthemap.org. Apparently, they have a blog called on there called 'doable evangelism' in which a Christian and an Athiest share dialouge about God and they both give their advice about how to 'evalgelise' Athiest's and other non-believers. Basically, the Athiest doesn't want to be evangelised but encourages believers to instead (of evangelising) be 'open minded' and 'engage in intellectual conversation.'
... Is this what the word of God says?

God's word does say that "it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..."
in Ephesians 4:11. God's word also says in Titus 3: 9-11 that believers should
" avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless" in Titus 3: 9. He also says in Titus 3:10-11," Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time.
After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned." So, it's pretty clear that some are given to be evalgelists but that getting involved with foolish controversies is not to be part of that evangelism. God has told us already how to be salt and light in the world and warned us how to live so that we don't lose our saltiness. I love to share the gospel with non-believer's as much as I can, out of care for their souls~ but I'm not in charge of thier salvation so, I need not count on my words to draw them.
I can only " be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear- hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh." Jude, 22-23.
How are you working out God's exhortation found in Jude 22-23 in your own lives?

One neat thing for us Mom's and Dad's they had a link to is the Mom Salary Wizard at mom salary.com or dad salary.com. This is an encouragement to us Mom's (and Dad's) about how much our love, sacrifice and labor are worth in this world~ but more importantly we know how much it is worth in God's eyes and that is so much more than the $138,976 the wizard said I'm worth to my family. In God's vision, we are jems. Love all you ladies!

I think you hit the nail on the head. We are to share what we know in love. From there, it is between them and God. We are not responsible for their souls. We are simply responsible for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by my site!
