Warning! This is going to be a long post today!Lol The Lord has really encouraged me in reading Jehoshapat during my quiet time recently and I just know that this will encourage some of you, too! We all have these "horde" times, at one time or another...

When I am tired~ and I wonder How Long, Lord?
Do not forsake me

When I am angered~
Please help me not to sin
When I am weary, and want to give up
Please help me to be steadfast,
and trust in you
Pour out your grace, and make me strong
Do not forsake me in my wilderness,
and forgive all of my sin.
Help me to always keep my heart set
on You alone.

When Jehoshapat set his face to seek the Lord, gathering an assembly of the people and proclaiming a fasting(2Chronicles20:3). Then in 2 Chronicles 20:15 the spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel, son of Zechariah, and he said to the assembly "Listen,
all of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshapat: Do not be afraid, and do Not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours, but God's." Jehoshapat then prays in the midst of trial and temptation. He says in 2 Chronicles 20:6-8" Oh Lord, God of our forefathers, are You not God in Heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In Your hand are power and might so that none is able to withstand you. Did you not,Our God,drive out the inhabitants of this land for Your people,Israel, and give it forever to the descendents of Abraham, your friend? And they have lived in it and have built for You in it a sanctuary for Your name, saying (9): "If disaster comes upon us, the sword-judgement-or pestilence-orfamine-we will stand before this house and before You- for Your name is in this house- and cry out to You in our affliction, and you will hear and save~ (12:)for we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us!We do not know what to do! But our eys are upon You."

Lord, thank you that you are with us, your adopted children,in the midst of our trials and temptations in the way that You were with your people when Jehoshapat was king and long before that. Thank you for prophetic words, and let us also bow our heads (18) with our faces to the ground and fall down before You Lord worshipping You. And all the Levites and Korahites stood up to praise the Lord, the God of Israel, in a very loud voice (19.) Let us bow our heads in thanks and then let us stand up Lord and praise your name in loud voices, in firm faith in Your promises for Your children, to Jehoshapat and also to us~ (20) and they rose up early in the morning and went out into the wildreness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshapat stood and said "Hear me Oh Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in me, the Lord, Your God, and you will be established; believe in His prophets, and you will succseed. And when he had taken council with the people he appointed those who were to sing to the Lord and praise Him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, "Give thanks to the Lord, for His steadfast love endures forever!" And when the began to sing and praise, the Lord set up an ambush against the men who had come against Judah so that they were routed. As You delivered Judah so will You deliver us, Oh Lord, we need not fear for who(what!)can come against us?? No one, no power, no principlaity can seperate from Your awesome love and power! Your love is greater than our sin; we believe in You and are established ( 2 Chronicles 20.) Thank You Lord, for this encouragement. You have always met me in my wildrenesses and I know You will meet my sisters in Christ as well! You meet us there, where you feed us, and clothe us and strengthen us. And You have loved us. I pray that this encouragement that You have given me will also encourage my friends in the blogosphere just as much as it has encouraged me. In Jesus name! Amen! <3
