Jesus said, "Take care of My sheep."

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,"Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?"
"Yes,Lord" he said, "you know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
Again Jesus said, "Simon, son of John, do you truly love me?"
He answered "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."
The third time He said it to him,"Simon, son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was hurt, because Jesus asked him for the third time,
"Do you love me?"
He said, " Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."
John 21:15-17

So grateful for Jesus' death and ressurection today on the eve-eve of Easter day, and looking forward to celebrating the holiday on Sunday with the family. It will
be a bittersweet communion on Sunday, because the bread and juice and all they symbolize remind me of the great price Jesus paid to ransom me, but also that
He paid the price. This precious gift is newer to me every year. I thank God that he heals us by His stripes!

Ressurection day is the sweetest holiday for me now. And not just because of the candy..Lol ;) Easter used to be just one of the many holidays~ one of the smaller one's, in my opinion~ growing up, and after having kids it became slightly more interesting, making up baskets for them and all...

But since Jesus change my heart Easter has taken on new meaning~ and it gets sweeter every year, as my relationship with God grows as time goes on. Each year it is a gift to be able to teach my children about God, and tell them about what Jesus did for us. I know this continual bathing in the word is planting wonderful seeds. I see in Tyler a disciple growing; he wants to tell people about Jesus, and that is exciting! I pray that God will raise him up to be courageous for the gospel. 'To feed His sheep'.

Never underestimate the work you do in your local church, and the way you serve the families that make up the body along with you. They are Jesus' sheep. Jesus said, "Feed me sheep." In prayer this morning, I was reminded that works cannot save us, and yet a faith without works is a dead faith~

Ephesians 2:8-10" For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared us in advance to do."

James 2:26 " As the body without the spirit is dead,so faith without deeds is dead."

Lord, I pray that you will help me be prepared to feed your sheep all through this season and on into the seasons to come. Let me not grow weary of doing good deeds, especially for my children, our lambs, 'pouring out the oil of love in our worship to you.' Let me take care of and feed Your 'sheep', my husband, and let the arms of our family find many opportunities to reach around to other families full of Your Sheep. Amen!

Happy, Happy Easter!!!!
