God dos not change His mind :D

It's good to be reminded that we don't have to justify ourselves to God~ could we ever do that anyways??~ and that He has justified us, through our faith, by grace.
So grateful to have learned that at church! I am one of those people that will probably always have to fight off the temptation to feel that I have to earn my keep as a child of God. Not that anything that I could ever do could ever earn His favor, but more out of a desire to not be a beast of burden- so to speak.

Ty and I were talking about this last night: Because we are God's children He loves us and cares for us, trains us up and disciplines us when we need it : (In fact we know from the Bible that if He didn't do this, it would prove that we are not God's children at all.)God doesn't just love us and have a covenant with us when we are obeying Him, but all the time, even in our disobedience. We are His children, not some rent-a-family!

Can you get over the fact that God would redeem a people such as us, or for that matter pay the price He had to pay to make that happen?? I can't! I really am in awe of His mercy and kindness!! And then to make a covenant with all people that if they will believe they can be saved! Grace is such a precious gift to me. It's by Jesus' blood that I will be , someday, clinging to His promise to me as I pass from this place into Heaven to stand before Him. Because He said He will not leave nor forsake me, I don't have to worry that He will change His mind about me like people sometimes can. Instead, He keeps His covenant with me though I am but a sinful human being, far from a feather in His hat and more of an ongoing project ;)

I can relate to Ty in desiring to be pleasing to God, and feeling sad when I feel like I'm not. But God was faithful yet again last night to meet Ty and I with this scripture,
2 Peter 1:3-5: As we know Jesus better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a Godly life. He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness!! And, by that same mighty power, He has given us all of His rich and wonderful promises. He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in His divine nature.
So, make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life!
THEN your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better.

God your promises are so trustworthy! Even if we try and hide in darkness, your light will find us there! You are our father, you formed us- you have your eye on us-we are never going to find a place in our minds or in this world that we can be lost from You in! And thank you God for deliverance from our sin. From the evil one. For giving us a rock to stand on. Pray that Ty will come to know that God is commited to him, forever. That I will rest in His promises. We know that God will never let go of us, because he said so. And God doesn't change! Hallelujah!!

I am so glad your son is able to talk about these things with you and with his youth group. That is a blessing.

Kevin and I finally have Part 4 written and posted, if you're interested.

I'm glad you stopped by and that the song and the writing were an encouragement. Did you read Kev's part also?

Thank you so much for visiting. It is such fun to meet new friends. I enjoyed your post. God is so very faithful - meeting our needs with abundant love and grace and compassion.
I think it is a wonderful thing to think about the seasons of our lives. I just started taking piano lessons three years ago. I find I am enjoying it so much more than when I was a teenager who gave up on it way too soon. There are so many things we can do - and learn to do. God is always up to something in our lives.
Have a blessed weekend - it was so nice to meet you.

Thanks for stopping by my site. I read a couple of your writings. The Hillbilly menu sound interesting. Yes, we pay a lot for the convenience of so many things we use. Keep us posted as to how you do on this.
